We are raising funds for a War Memorial to honour the fallen soldiers of Handforth.

Story

We are running to raise money for a War Memorial in Handforth which would commemorate all the soldiers from the local area who have died on operations from WW1 to the present. The money would be raised in memory of LCpl Jamie Webb who died in Afghanistan March 2013.

About the charity

Handforth Community War Memorial Foundation was established in November 2014 by 8 local residents from the village of Handforth. In February 2015 we officially received our charitable status from the Charity Commission (Charity No. 1160397) and are now working hard to raise £35,000 for the memorial.
