Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

After running The Great North Run for the first time in 2014 for a fantastic cause Willow Burn Hospice, I found the whole experience very moving and the support shown by work colleagues, friends and family was fantastic. I now have The Great North Run bug!

For 2015 I have decided to run in support of my Mam who was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease a number of years ago. Most people don't know to much about the condition apart from that Muhammad Ali suffers from it.  It is a horrible condition that deteriorates over time.  The amount of support sufferes need can be massive and expensive.

Unless you have had first hand experience it's something you will not know much about. By running the Great North Run in support of Parkinson's UK hopefully I can raise some awareness amongst my Friends, work colleuges and anybody else who feels they would like to sponsor me for this great cause.

My Mam has done so much for me over the years,   by completing the Great North Run in 2015 it's my way of giving something back to her.

Thanks for the support.

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
