Hi Guys,

My name is Stephen and I am second year Social Work Student at Leeds Uni. In June I will be going to Nigeria for 3 months to volunteer with a group of 9 other young people. Whilst in Nigeria I will be staying with a host family and working in schools and the community teaching english and maths and raising awareness of HIV/AIDS and also working with those who are already diagnosed. 

It is such an amazing opportunity to be able to carry out such great work and I am really looking forward to it. As a young gay man I know the seriousness of HIV/AIDS and therefore feel really passionate about spreading this awareness to those who dont have as much insight. Nigerian Law also condemns homosexuality and I am apprehensive but I feel that the cause is such that this severity is out shadowed by the work that needs to done here. 

I would love to go however, I need to raise £800. I am also currently undertaking many other fundraising events to help raise this money. Any donation no matter how little is greatly appreciated,
