Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am running the London Marathon 2019 in aid of the Lord's Taverners, a charity which gives disadvantaged and disabled young people a "sporting chance".
I’ve been lucky enough to be involved in lots of sports and it’s had an amazing impact in my life , being part of a team , making friends and achieving goals so I think it’s very important for absolutely everyone to be given the same chance .
My father-in-law is heavily involved with this charity ( chairman Surrey region) and every years runs and organises a number of events , so I would really like to support his work and raise as much money for this amazing charity . To give all children the chance to interact ,play and train, to compete , win and lose and to learn have fun and make new friends.
They are the UK's leading youth cricket and disability sports charity. They make a difference to young people across the UK and abroad, through sport and recreation.
Their programmes support some of the most marginalised and at risk young people in the UK. This is done through programmes such as table cricket, Wicketz, the provision of accessible minibuses, the installation of sensory rooms in SEN schools, grants for sports wheelchairs, sports kit recycling for disadvantaged young people at home and abroad, as well as a disability cricket programme that is being rolled-out nationally.
