Story
Thanks for taking the time to read my story. My father died in 2014, about 2 years after he was diagnosed with bowell cancer. He was unable to eat his Christmas lunch and declined from there until his death on February 8th. We were able to care for him at home because of the great support we received from MacMillan nurses. They kept him comfortable, managed his decline and allowed him to die in familiar surroundings. This was very important to him and reassuring for us. His death was a great blow but it really helped being surrounded by specialists who had been through this with other families.
