Story

You may have wondered why I always sat at the front of class at school.
It may seem strange that I look at you slightly off centre (and maybe not give you as much eye contact as I should).
You may wonder why I don't drive and sometimes have to ask for lifts to various events that I can't reciprocate.
You might peep your car horn and wave at me in the

street but you get no response.

You might also not realise that I have no clue what is going on on the far side of a rugby field or see
some of the players middle distance - a bit of a pain as my children play rugby!

I have Nystagmus...an incurable involuntary movement of the eyes meaning they wobble and give me poor distance vision.

While I can't drive, Nystagmus doesn't stop me running and 5 years ago, I took the plunge to take up pounding the streets and joined a Club in Sowerby Bridge. I ran the Royal Parks Half Marathon 2 years ago, completing in a time of just over 2 hours and, once again, I will be running up and down The Mall, around Whitehall and through the Royal Parks, finishing in Hyde Park.

I am raising money for the Nystagmus Network Charity which provides support, advice and information about Nystagmus.

Please donate generously to the charity and support me in my goal of completing my second half marathon!
