Fundraising for Every Action Has Consequences
Hello and thank you for visiting my web page. A group of us from the Woodlands Hotel Blackburn Lancashire are taking part in the Coast 2 Coast Cycle Ride. The ride will take place over 3 days and covers 147 miles from the West Coast at Whitehaven to the East Coast at Sunderland. The details of the route etc; can be seen via link http://www.c2c-guide.co.uk
The aim of the ride is to raise as much money for two charities and all monies raised will be shared equally between both causes.
Tim McKenna the manager of the Woodlands Hotel lost his brother Adam in 2009. Adam was on a night out with friends when he was hit by a single punch which ended in Adam losing his life.
Every Action Has Consequences was set up to make people aware and be responsible for their actions when placed in situations and hopefully stop senseless violence. Adam was 24 years old when he lost his life over a senseless act from someone he didn’t know while trying to stop a fight.http://www.eahconsequences.com/
Samantha and I lost our daughter Mia in December 2010 to a sudden unexplained death. Mia was 18months and 2weeks old. Her uncle was babysitting while Samantha was at work and I was at College. Mia had gone for her usual nap at midafternoon and never woke up. Nobody to this day knows why.
The SUDC Program is the only organization in the world that is conducting medical research in the hope that one day there will be an answer and hopefully prevent parents losing their children, and an explanation for those who already have lost a child.
The SUDC has been a great support to Samantha and Me over the last few months.http://www.sudc.org
The riders and support team consists of the following:
Chris Topham, David Ashcroft, Tim McKenna, Gerrard Harrington, Andy Farrington, Colin Hester, Luke Rusyn, Christian Gillibrand and finally myself from the Woodlands Hotel and my good friend Martin Hackett who lent us the transport to get there and back and Coy for the use of his motorhome.
