Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 22nd of November 2010, my father Pat Farrell was diagnosed with secondary cancer throughout his lungs, which possibly originated from his gallbladder at the young age of 56.

Sadly after a short battle, my dad passed away on the 21st of January at the Golden Jubilee Hospital in Clydebank.

The nurses at the Jubilee hospital were excellent, as was the care and facilities. It is a fine example of what NHS healthcare should be.

So to raise a little for a charity that my father held close to heart, I have decided to dust off my trainers, and I have bought a cycle, and hopefully I will be able to do as many sponsored run's and cycles this year as possible, and raise £2000 for Macmillan cancer support.

To start with, I have entered the Great Scottish Run half marathon for this September, and also the Glasgow to Edinburgh Pedal for Scotland cycle.

More to come...

So please dig deep people for my dad!

Stephen
