Story
When our daughter Josie was born 12 weeks early in 2010 in Cambridge, we were lucky enough to be given a room in a Sick Children's Trust Home at Addenbrookes Hospital. This was a huge weight off our mind at this very stressful time and it meant we could sleep close by and get to her within minutes.
The Trust is a charity that wouldn't exist if it wasn't for donations. I have decided to join them on their Sky Dive fundraiser this year to help make it possible for more parents / guardians with children in hospital to be supported by them and have one less thing to worry about.
Here's some more information from The Sick Children's Trust about their work:
When a child suddenly becomes ill, there's no time to plan. The Sick Children's Trust is the charity that gives families one less thing to worry about by giving them a place to stay, and someone to talk to, free of charge just minutes from their child's bedside. This year The Sick Children's Trust is celebrating 40 years of keeping families together. With the help of so many generous supporters, like our daredevil skydivers, we have helped over 73,000 families since 1982, with a welcoming place to stay when they have really needed it.
