Story
Thank you for visiting our page.
Reuben was a positive, curious, handsome, resilient and thoughtful young man. He brought us so much joy, we love him more than words can say and miss him every second. A generous, loving son and brother who was a great role model (most of the time!).
Although Reuben only lived 19 years, he managed to fit in a lifetime of memories, always prioritising time spent with friends and family. He loved many things; wildlife, France, Geography (he started his Geography degree at Royal Holloway University), fine food, tennis, skiing, driving, films (esp. Star Wars), Lego, music, cooking everything from homemade pasta to tapas and profiteroles!
Reuben died during lockdown 2.5 years after being diagnosed with a rare and aggressive Sarcoma. We've chosen to raise funds for Sarcoma UK, a national charity that funds vital research, offers support for anyone affected by sarcoma cancer and campaigns for better treatments. Sarcoma is a type of cancer that develops in the bone and soft tissue. It is difficult to diagnose and one of the hardest to treat. By supporting us, we can help change this.
Your donation will help researchers find answers, keep the specialist Support Line open, and raise awareness to improve treatment and standards of care. Your donations go so far in helping the sarcoma community:
£1 Could cover the cost of 10 texts to the support line.
£10 Could be used to buy microscope slides to look at cells in minute detail.
£30 Could fund one hour of use of a high-powered laboratory microscope.
£150 Could fund the support line for a week.Thank you for your support.
