Story

Children don't start wars. Yet whilst thousands of Syrian children with their families seek asylum in Europe, it is estimated that over 2 million children are in refugee camps in neighbouring countries, many of who are traumatised and orphaned. These children are in desperate need of warmth, medical care, clothing, food, education, toys and the fundamental right to just be 'children!

Starting on the 17th of April, 2016, I intend to walk  778 kms (or 484 miles) from St Jean Pied de Port, France, to Santiago de Compostela, Spain, in 5 weeks. I will be unsupported and fund the entire expedition myself so every penny donated will go to the Children of Syria Appeal. I am no stranger to long haul expeditions but they have all been on a bicycle. On this occasion I will be walking - a new challenge - for children in urgent and desperate need.
