Oxford to Cambridge Bike Ride · 28 September 2013 ·
I was asked to do this ride by a couple of old friends on a night out, one of whom now lives in London. It was a great opportunity to challenge ourselves, catch up and most importantly raise some money for a great charity that tackles a condition that has taken several members of my family and many others.
The ride is 90miles long with 1,198 metres of climbing. I've been training hard on a ten week plan and have been motivated by everyones support. It really helps when I need to get up and ride 4 hours on a Sunday morning or ride another set of hill reps.
Here's where your money may be used:
£2 – Helps 10 children get more physically active
£50 – Help fund vital lab work
£124 – Fund a resuscitation training manikin
£200 – Help find a cure
£600 – Fund a Heart Helpline Nurse for a week
£60,000 – Fund a research project for a year
£100,000 – Fund a PhD student
