My mum was diagnosed with terminal breast cancer in December 2010 which was only treatable with the help of strong pain relief, the support and time of doctors, nurses, therapists and lengthy chemo with no hope of a real long term cure.

For nearly 2 1/2 years my Mum battled through,truly inspirational and always positive with a smile on her face, never complaining she unfortunately lost her battle on the 26th April 2013. A year on I want to try and give back as much as I can so other individuals and their families do not have to go through the pain of seeing their loved one whether it be a daughter, Mum or Grandma like my mum was, go through cancer in the same way and give them more hope!! 

What I truly want to say is 'up yours cancer'! And run to that finishing line with a smile on my face as I know there is hope for the future!!
