Story

Thanks for visiting our page.  On the 11th June 2022, it will be 10 years since our beautiful Stephanie sadly passed away. 8 walkers will climb 12 miles of the third highest mountain in England, to raise valuable funds for St Giles Hospice, where our lovely Stephanie spent her last 4 months.

For those that don’t know Stephanie’s story - at the age of 23, she was diagnosed with breast cancer, which resulted in her having a mastectomy.  Then over a 21 years period, Stephanie underwent extensive treatments to try and beat this awful disease.  Stephanie fought hard but on the 11th June 2012, at the age of 44, the devastating day came when surrounded by her loving family, she was taken by the angels, leaving Peter her husband, Eleanor, her beautiful 13 year old daughter and family.

Stephanie was a huge inspiration to us all, she is truly missed and we love her to bits.

It costs St Giles Hospice £10 million a year, to deliver the amazing care they provide.  Only a third of their running costs are provided by the NHS, so they truly rely on your generosity to help them deliver the special care they provide.
