The National Autistic Society is here to transform lives, change attitudes and create a society that works for autistic people. There is still so much to do to increase opportunities, reduce social isolation and build a brighter future for autistic people. With your help, we can make it happen.

Story

On the 3rd of October, I am running the London marathon and raising money for National Autistic Society. The furthest I have run before is a half marathon (and a fair amount of walking was involved) so this will definitely be a challenge but I am so excited!

Around 700,000 people in the UK have a diagnosis of autism. National Autistic Society supports autistic people and their families in a range of ways such as running specialist schools and campaigning for improved rights.

National Autistic Society also offers a service which gives advice and support to autistic people and the families of autistic people in England who are currently in a mental health hospital. This is something which I feel is so important. For instance, at least 20% of the population will experience depression at some point but it is even more common in autistic people.

National Autistic Society do amazing work and they are a charity I feel so passionate about helping. I hope you will support me in my journey to the London marathon and every single donation (no matter how small) will go a long way!

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my page,

Steph xxx
