We are fighting to make a world where diabetes does no harm

Story

I have taken on the huge challenge to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania to raise money for Diabetes UK. I have been a type 1 Diabetic for 10 years, so I want to raise as much money as I can, as it is a very personal cause to me. Most of you will probably know someone with diabetes or who has been affected by diabetes, and for those people the ultimate hope if for a cure. All the money I will raise goes directly to diabetes UK as I have funded the trip myself, so please be as generous as you can as the task I have taken on to raise this money is not going to be easy.... Mount Kilimanjaro is the worlds tallest free standing mountain, and stands at 5,895m. It will take me roughly 12 days to reach its summit and come back down, with up to 15 hours of trekking per day. I am now training hard at the gym and cliff walking to get myself ready but raising a lot of money to go towards finding a cure for diabetes is the reason for this challenge. I have set up this website so the money you pledge goes directly to diabetes UK, therefore, it will go to use immediately to fund research or help improve the lives of diabetes sufferers. If you want to find out more about diabetes, please go to www.diabetes.org.uk Any amount of money you give will help, so please donate!! Thanks for your help, Stephanie Black xxx
