Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I work for Fins Scuba a local Dive Centre based in Preston who is currently closed to Covid19. We have a fun tradition that when a student passes a diving course or any milestone they bring in cake to the shop and have their picture taken with it. Many can be seen on our facebook page: Fins Scuba
We hold a Cake Day every September to raise money for cancer care, so I thought as most people are at home now it would be a fun idea for people to bake and post their baking pictures on social media (I would love to see them on the Fins Scuba page) and at the same time give a little and donate to a local charity. I will be baking every Saturday until our shop reopens.
Also one of our Instructors Bob is taking part in the 25 push ups for 25 days to raise awareness for Mental Health, PDST, anxiety & depression. He is going to do his last day in full Scuba Gear to raise money for St Catherines.
I hope you will take a little time to join in with this cause and also have some fun.
St Catherine's has all it's charity shops, café and summer ball cancelled so any help they can get will be gratefully received. We usually attend the summer ball and hopefully will be back next year !
St Catherine's Hospice are helping the NHS and the national effort by keeping around 250 patients out of hospital every day – including palliative patients with Coronavirus - through their specialist end-of-life care provided at the hospice and in people’s own homes.
