On Sunday the 28th of April 2019 I will be running the London Marathon for the Rainbow Trust representing Almacantar.

Who are the Rainbow Trust

The Rainbow Trust Children's Charity enables families who have a child with a life-threatening illness to make the most of precious time together; providing expert practical and emotional support, where they need it, for as long as it is needed. £23 will provide one hour of care, enough time to entertain a seriously ill child so that their parents can have a break.

Today there are an estimated 49,000 children and young people in the UK living with a life-limiting or life-threatening condition who may require palliative care. Many of these children and their families are able to cope or are not in a ‘crisis situation’. However, thousands of families have to face the very real possibility that their child may not live and struggle to cope on a day to day basis.

Being told that your child is so seriously ill that they might not live is something no parent ever wishes to hear. Nobody knows how they would react or how they would cope. And in this new world in which families find themselves, everyday life has to continue.
