Tom and I do not get the opportunity to do as much for charity as we would like so we thought this would be a great chance to do our bit and help a charity that is close to our hearts.

We are trying to raise money for The Stroke Association, the UK's leading stroke charity.  The charity offers a range of support services for those who have been affected by stroke.  If you would like to know more about the charity there are links on this website to their official website which has details of what they do and how they help.

We have picked this charity because a few years ago, Wayne suffered a stroke.  For those who don't know Wayne, he is Ben's Dad (Ben is The Best Man) and is a dear friend of Tom and his family.  Thankfully, with the help and support of his family, Colchester Hospital Stroke Unit and charities like The Stroke Association, Wayne has made a great recovery.  But his experience reinforced the invaluable help that the NHS and health charities provide and the difference they make to so many people like Wayne across the country.  We really hope that if you can, you will help us to raise money for The Stroke Association, so that they can continue to help many more people like Wayne.
