As some of you may know, my little sister Lillie Beth suffered from Meningitis in 2008. After a crucial 48 hours in the hospital she pulled through after being hours away from death. Although it was a gruelling experience for her and our family, after 2 weeks of being hospitalised she recovered from the illness and celebrated her 8th birthday this July.

Ever since then her mum Alison has been working closely with the Meningitis Trust  and helping to fundraise for the charity.

In aid of this, I, along with  6 others including Alison and Lillie Beths 2 brothers will be taking part in The Bupa Great North Run 2011, each aiminig to raise £300.
