Story
Hello again!
Thanks
for taking the time to visit my little fundraising page. I am back again to do my second fundraiser for MS Society. I am this time doing the Bupa 10,000 10k run in London in May. Please help me to raise more money again! The reason why I am running again is below:
When I was younger (I am 21 now), my mum was diagnosed with
MS, something which I didn't understand being so young. I just noticed
she found it more difficult to walk, especially long distances. Over
the years, it has obviously become progressively worse. A few years
ago, she broke two bones in her leg from falling over and then a year
later she broke and dislocated her shoulder. It's very hard to witness
one of the strongest people in your life become weak through something
she cannot do anything about.
So I heard about the Adidas
Women's 5k Challenge in Hyde Park in September 2009, and thought this was my chance to help
my mum and others suffering with MS. I wanted to do my part to help
someone I love dearly and cherish. I may not show it all the time, but
I respect my mother more than anyone in the world, she's the strongest
person I know and I wish I could be more like her. I raised about £300 for that event and decided I wanted to carry on helping the MS Society. I thought I needed to up the stakes a bit, so I decided to double my distance and go for 10k! You never know, I might do a marathon one day!
I hope to
raise any kind of money to give to the MS Society, to help further
their research and developments. If I could raise any amount of money I'd be happy, even if it was something very small. Any donation would be amazing.
Thank you for reading,
Love,
