Story
So I have decided that 2017 is the year I am going to complete the Larne Half Marathon, my first EVER half marathon and possibly my last, time will tell!. What a massive goal for me to achieve. Before starting my training for this, my longest run ever was a 10K (6.2 miles), sure whats another 7 extra miles ;) At present my longest run is 7 miles, so I'm halfway there, plenty of time to get me up to the required distance (I hope).
I have decided that I want to run my first half marathon in memory of my amazing brother, Andrew. I know he will give me the motivation and determination I need to complete the race.
I can assure you I will not be setting any record breaking times for this run, but sure times doesn't really matter. What does is that I get from start to finish. I will have still ran 13.1 miles, the same the person who crosses the finish line first. I would be lying if I said I wasn't extremely nervous about completing this run, but I have alot of support from family, friends and my club mates and I know alot of them will make sure i get over the finish line (even if i have to crawl lol).
Whatever you can donate to my page for PIPS Larne, is very greatly appreciated. And of course, I will keep you updated on how my training is going!
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. xx
