We provide specialist care to children with life-limiting illness

Story

Hi folks!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In July last year I decided to take up running to try to get fit and lose a couple of pounds. Although I was never really a good runner, with a lot of hard work and perseverance (not to mention lots of encouragement and a good pair of running shoes from my dear Missus) I started to enjoy my runs and built up the miles week by week. Now, a few months on, I have set myself the daunting goal of running the full Belfast Marathon in May this year.

This year´s official charity of the Belfast Marathon is the Northern Ireland Children´s Hospice. The charity provides respite and end of life care to life limited children and their families. It relies heavily on donations to provide this free service. A cause, I believe, is well worth supporting. So every penny you donate is a great help and will be very much appreciated!

Note: Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
