Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm not too good with heights, so when I heard about the Daredevil Abseil challenge, I immediately wanted to join, of course. Those who know me will understand the logic.
Climbing down 130 ft of University of Dundee tower building on a rope - what a great way to overcome my fear and do a good deed in the process. What's not to like? (Or so I keep telling myself)
But seriously, Marie Curie nurses do great work, and I have a lot of respect for them. Marie Curie is a UK charity which provides care to terminally ill people. Their nurses also give support, both practical and emotional, to families and carers. Thinking about this brought back memories of the time when my father was dying of cancer. I believe my mother could have used a Marie Curie nurse back then, but we had none in Germany.
I cannot change the past, but the money you donate here will help people in the future who might find themselves in a situation similar to my family's back then.
Any little bit helps.
