Story
In March 2020 I signed up to do the London Marathon in October 2020. After getting half way through my training, it got postponed to October 2021.
So after tweaking my training to the new date and getting several half marathons under my belt, I fell in a pothole and broke my knee in June 2021 and had to postpone again to the April 2022.
I started running again in January 2022 very carefully after lots of rest, rehab and strength training. I really struggled to run again but the knee was fine.
Late 2022 I found out I was pregnant (hence the struggle with running!) and had to postpone for the third time and here we are!
Running again after 3 years of bumps in the road has been hard to get going but I'm now back up to 10km distances, so figured I best crack on with training.
Cats Protection is the UK’s leading feline welfare charity and one I know very well after working for them for the past 10 years. Every year we help 190,000 cats and kittens to get neutered or find new homes. On average every cat costs £180 - which quickly adds up.
Raising £2000 can help towards the following:
£5 can supply 10 days worth of specialist milk to handrear a kitten
£10 can pay for bedding and a safe place to sleep for a traumatised cat or kitten
£75 could buy a Feline Fort bed to help minimise cats stress in our catteries
£150 could provide a full health check including blood tests, neutering, microchipping and vaccinations
£375 can pay to run out national Neutering helpline for a year!
£500 can cover the cost of a c-section and recovery for a pregnant cat in need
£1000 helps us buy learning resources to take into schools to help children understand more about cats
£2500 could feed every cat in an adoption centre for a year.
