Story

A self-confessed hater of running I am running the Great North Run in September 2018. Obviously.

I have decided to put myself through 13.1 miles of running to raise funds for Ovarian Cancer Trust. In December 2017 my mum was diagnosed with Stage 1 Ovarian Cancer after undergoing a full historectomy. Thankfully she is one of the lucky ones and although she is currently undergoing a gruelling course of Chemotherapy, she is expected to make a good recovery. Any funds raised will go directly to the charity to help fund their research and hopefully one day we’ll beat this vile disease that is cancer.

So help me do a little bit of good by raising some sort of a respectable amount. Anything big or small is always appreciated :)

We are the UK’s leading ovarian cancer research charity. In the UK only 1 in 3 women live more than 10 years after diagnosis. We are working to better prevent, treat and detect ovarian cancer, so that by 2032 at least half of women with ovarian cancer live for 10 years.
