The London Landmarks Half Marathon is (finally!) happening on 1 August 2021, having been delayed from 29 March 2020. I'm running for Centrepoint, the UK's leading youth homelessness charity. 

The coronovirus pandemic has posed an unprecedented risk to all, but those experiencing or at risk of homelessness are especially vulnerable. Centrepoint has seen an almost 50% increase in people seeking support during the pandemic, due to family breakdowns and job losses brought about as a result of the national lockdown. 

Charities like Centrepoint which directly provide accommodation for people who are homeless have continued to do everything it take to maintain their high level of service and care, but they don't have enough support from the government and therefore they need us now more than ever.

The coronavirus crisis has exposed many of the deep fault lines in British society, and has brought into sharp focus the insecurity in which millions of people in the UK are living – whether by working in precarious and unprotected employment, living in overcrowded housing or facing the threat of eviction brought on by a sudden loss of income.
