We have decided to take on this challenge next May so that we can raise money for the Princess Alice Hospice. Our friend Judith Hales is also taking on the trek with us and fundraising via JustGiving for a hospice local to her.

Tim was diagnosed with incurable prostate cancer in 2011 and continued to maintain an almost normal life, whilst trying numerous treatments, until 2017 when there was no further options available. Tim then became very unwell and sadly passed away on 22nd June 2017. 

During Tim's last few months Princess Alice Hospice gave us their support by regularly visiting our house, offering support to all our family, and in his final weeks they provided daily care which made a difficult time a little easier. The staff were so considerate and caring in the way they dealt with Tim and ourselves and we looked forward to their visits everyday. We feel this is our way of repaying the nurses and staff for the free and compassionate service they provided to us.

We would like to support families that also go through this difficult experience by helping to fund the services Princess Alice Hospice offer and making this help available to all that need it.
