Story
Step-tember 2021
Step-tember is a unique month long stepping challenge throughout September. It's a fully inclusive event and encourages walkers, runners and wheelchair users to take on a physical challenge and support the work of the Rooprai Spinal Trust (RST).
The event is the brain child of, and organised by, Eric Keeler of Rasselbock Running (www.rasselbock.co.uk) on behalf of RST. Now in its sixth year, Step-tember has become a popular event with RST supporters and was shortlisted in the People’s Choice category at the 2020 Fundraising Everywhere Charity Virtual Event Awards.
Elizabeth Ngonzi,
the judge for the People’s Choice category, said it best.....
"… RST had their Step-tember virtual walk and what really struck me about this event is that is was inclusive. And it wasn't just for those in wheelchairs, but they also looked at people with other disabilities. It really made me take notice because I feel like they walk the talk they were about, you know, it's not just about us but its about making sure that people are able to participate in this irrespective of their abilities. And so I really like that a lot. And I really applaud them for what they did and it sounded like it was a lot of fun."
A massive thank you to Eric for his continued support and making Step-tember a hugely successful event. #OneTeamOneDream
