Working for the RNLI I am very lucky to hear about lots of the amazing rescue stories from our volunteer crew. The thing that always impresses me the most is that these people are volunteers and are risking their lives for total strangers.

So when I heard there was a fundraising event to raise funds and awareness of their courageous work I decided to 'get on board' (get it?)! I did not quite realise how immense this challenge would be - 2 weeks, nothing but water... and I am attending a wedding during that time- eeek!!
