Each year 450 UK children are diagnosed with brain cancer. Among these there is a tumour so aggressive that there is NO effective treatment or a CURE - Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma or DIPG. Responsible for 80% of all brain tumour death we raise vital research funds to give hope to DIPG families.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.

As you all probably know this is my first marathon & has taken up a lot of time with all my training - then I had to rest for 3 weeks with an injury! Well here I am back and looking forward to the day:)

I am supporting a charity very close to my heart, 'Abbie's Army'; as my dear niece Grace was diagnosed with a rare, incurable and inoperable brain tumour (DIPG).

DIPG affects up to 40 children per year in the UK with an age range of between 5-10 years.

No parent ever wants to hear that there is no cure and no hope and they should never have to........

This is for you Grace.
