Earlier this year my close friend Mia lost her Father to his battle with bowel cancer at the age of just 52. The diagnosis was made just after I met Mia in our first term at University. Throughout his illness she coped amazingly and still managed to be the wonderful, caring and selfless person I first met. Her positivity was inspiring and she managed to remain strong throughout, including finishing and passing all of her exams this summer (which I am extremely proud of!). I have decided to run the half marathon for Team Waters to raise money in memory of her Dad who I know was just as amazing as she is!
