K2 Trek in aid of Education

Fundraising for The Citizens Foundation (UK)
K2 is the world's second largest and remotest Himalayan peak and a number of my friends have, therefore, suggested I go there for a while !
Seriously, however, for years the Friends of the Citizen Foundation (TCF) have supported education for the most deserving of children based in Pakistan,. This year's trip to the Base Camp of K2 is another opportunity to raise desperately needed funds to get Pakistani girls and boys off the streets and provide them with the highest quality, secular and well-rounded education. TCF runs over 300 purpose built schools and has over 40,000 enrolled children.
It costs just £10 a month to educate a child at a TCF school; £6,000 will keep an entire school running for a whole year. According to a recent article in the New Statesman, TCF is "probably the most dynamic, impressive and well-run south Asian charity" the journalist had come across. If you would like to learn more about the charity, or would like to get involved yourself, please visit their website at
http://www.thecitizensfoundation.org.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Friends Of The Citizens Foundation will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now to support this extremely worthwhile cause!
Thanks,
Stefan
