Story
With the help of the pros at Pride Boxing and 40 other participants, I will be getting absolutely shredded so on October 10th I can step into a ring and fight somebody. The fight will consist of 3 2-minute rounds with a 1-minute break in-between each round. I will be wearing full headgear to avoid the ol egg getting scrambled and my opponent and I will be wearing 16-ounce gloves. Is there a fair bit of risk of injury? Yes! But I have been and will be up until fight night, training with the best of the best to make sure I know exactly what I'm doing when I get into the ring. This is something I've wanted to do for years for a bunch of reasons but the main one is THE ALBERT KENNEDY TRUST! Below are a couple of words from the charity on what they do;
"We are the national LGBTQ+ youth homelessness charity;
focused on prevention and early action we provide: safe homes, mentoring, training, advocacy and support to young people who are homeless or living in a hostile environment after coming out to their parents, care givers and peers"
