Story
DEBRA is the national charity supporting those directly affected by, and working with, Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) – a potentially fatal skin condition that causes constant pain due to unstoppable internal and external blistering. DEBRA provides lifelong care and support to the entire EB community.Together we #FightEB and together we will beat EB.
Hi, im Star keeble, im 12 years old and I want to help raise money for debra, who support my baby sister and all the other eb suffers. So I am doing a marathon throughout this lockdown, 26.2 miles, and i will try and push myself to do more :)
Baby Ray was born with a horrific skin disease called epidermolysis bullosa, its a genetic thing but we have never heard of it in our families...... there is no treatment or cure for this, and i want to help raise some money to go towards finding something to help all suffers of this horrible disease. They say its the worst disease you have never heard of, i would like to change this in my generation, and my middles sisters generation, Charlie she is 7.... so when baby Ray goes to school, hopefully people/children can understand more about this condition and eb suffers won't feel so alone.
My goal is to continue to support my baby sister, other eb suffers, debra and all the eb nurses because they all do an amazing job. I would like people to know that the work comes from home, the families that deal with eb within there household, they are doing a tremendous job, that involves the sibling's, the parents and the grandparents, to the eb nurses and doctors whole help with all the medical care needed and to debra who give there full support in all areas needed and are working so hard to find a treatment/cure. From me to you all, I want to say a massive thank you.
So please help me not only to raise money but so spread awareness throughout your friends and family, if you see this page, look up epidermolysis bullosa (eb) then talk to people about it, the more this happens the more eb suffers may have peaceful future ahead of them.
I am proud of my baby sister, she has gone through so much in her little life, more than most adults have in there life, and yet she gives us the best smiles daily and she looks at us with love hearts in her eyes, we are so bless to have a beautiful bonny little treacle, oh she is so strong and resilient just to add :)
If you have got this far, I thank you for reading and for your support.
Please all stay safe in these terrible times.
Star Keeble xx
