Every day you hear stories about children being diagnosed with chronic or terminal illnesses - the circles around us seem to be getting smaller every day. As you can imagine, this breaks apart a flood of emotions and the families face unimaginable challenges. Their lives change in ways that many of us will never experience, much less understand. The family opportunities to have happier moments during these times are difficult to achieve their visits to hospitals, doctors and therapies seem like a never-ending cycle. Berts Big Adventure focuses on breaking this cycle and providing fun, magical moments for the families in the organization throughout the year! This year, the bicycle tour is North Carolina Mountains to Coast from Sunday Sept 29 in Blowing Rock, NC, to Saturday Oct 5 at Atlantic Beach, NC. 486.9 miles! We have a goal of $15,000 this year!
