Story
Stanley Upfold is leading the way for our students at Harris Boys as an active citizen to fund raise for our mighty NHS. To mirror the unrelenting daily challenge they are facing Stanley has set himself the monumental and ambitious task of climbing the entirety of the 3 highest peaks across Scotland, England and Wales.
NHS staff and volunteers are doing amazing work right now in caring for COVID-19 patients. Together, let's show our respect and gratitude as they work tirelessly in the face of the virus. It's our turn to make sure we look after them, to ensure they can keep doing their vital work.
Stanley's challenge, will take both physical and mental resilience to climb his stairs over the course of 7 days a total of 3219m.
Stanley's innovative and curious mind led him calculate the height of each step in his house at 18cm and multiple by the amount of steps, 26, giving him 4.68m. 3219 divided by 4.68 gave him 688 - the total amount of times he will have to climb each flight of stairs to take on the mighty Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon mountains.
This is no easy task, many grown men and women falter and do not make it to the top. Therefore, for Stanley the task is made even harder as he climbs his stairs without the views for motivation, only sore legs for company each day. Support Stanley and the NHS by donating.
