Stand Opposing Slaughter (SOS) is to be held on Mayday.

Simply put, it's a sponsored non-disruptive, peaceful demonstration against all animal slaughter in a busy area (in this case, Canterbury high street).

Simply put, it's a sponsored non-disruptive, peaceful demonstration against all animal slaughter in a busy area (in this case, Canterbury high street).
We'll stand (or sit if you're unable to stand) - some of us for 12 hours - with placards and banners, and fundraise for The Retreat Animal Rescue.
Additionally, some of us will be using the time protesting to create art and similar to catch people's attention, and the proceeds of this would also go to the sanctuary we're raising for.
Our main goals for the demonstration are:
1. Raise money for The Retreat Animal Rescue.
2. Show people that slaughter is not moral or ethical.
3. Allow first-timers a chance to try their hand at activism.
Even if our event changes zero hearts or minds at least we've fed some animals, and at least we've tried.
