Story
I'm back and ready for more!
Last year I stood up for 12 hours (9am-9pm) for Stand Up To Cancer in memory of my wonderful dad Robert Deacon who lost his battle on 19th November 2010. Its been a very hard almost 4 years but I have had huge support from friends, family and most importantly my school teachers.
Over the last year I've struggled greatly and was eventually diagnosed with depression and my life revolved around tablets and psychiatrist appointments. I hated my life and missed my dad more than ever but with such great support and help from my friends and the Maths department at school I overcame my depression and have come out the other side fighting.
Despite not doing as well as I hoped in my AS level exams I am re-taking the year and will get through this academic year with strength and determination! I will make my Dad proud and most importantly repay the people closest to me who have helped me so much by showing them it was worth the time and patience.
So stand with me and donate for my next Stand Up For Cancer on Friday 17th October which will hopefully be a whopping 15 hours (7am-10pm). Lets see how long I can do and beat last years! Thank you for donating and supporting me, we can live in hope for a cancer free future.
