Story
Here is the YouTube link to hear the song:
This song was written to raise awareness of the responsibilities and the stress that healthcare professionals experience every day on behalf of us all. The idea for the song came originally from talking with Junior Doctors, but as the project developed it became apparent that the words also resonated with others working outside the medical profession and that the song worked at many levels. The Samaritans have kindly agreed to endorse this charity record.
The song was launched on World Mental Health Day (10 October). This is a day for global mental health education, awareness and advocacy against social stigma. This annual awareness programme seeks to bring attention to mental illness and its major effects on peoples' lives worldwide
The song also raises money for the Samaritans; all donations go to the charity.
Stand Together is a group of songwriters and musicians based in SE England.
