Having initially planned to run my second marathon "just for fun", because people were so very generous with my first marathon and I didn't want to ask for fundraising again, my close friend Marian sadly lost her brave battle with cancer 6 weeks ago and I will now be running in her memory, whilst trying to raise as much as I can for others suffering from this awful disease.

With 1 in 2 now diagnosed with Cancer, the work that Cancer Research does is so important in continuing to discover experimental drugs to enable those diagnosed to spend more quality time with their loved ones, and hopefully one day discover a cure.

Please dig deep and donate what you can to support the amazing work this charity does for the terrible disease which will touch each and every one of us in some way. 

I would like to dedicate each mile on the day to someone special in order to complete the mile and not let that person down.  If there is someone special that has been touched by cancer that you would like me to run for on the day, please let me know their name and help me focus on completing a mile.  Thank you in advance!!!
