Story
For anybody who knows me they will know that I have been a supporter, community volunteer & fundraiser for St Roccos for over 15 years since the passing of my Grandad. Taking part in many a half marathon, sky dive, bag packing & even being a contestant on Strictly St Roccos back in 2017 (& breaking my wrist during the process!)
All of us have been affected by Covid 19 in one way or another, the hospice included. As a charity they rely heavily on the kindness & generosity of the Warrington Community. It costs £3.5million in fundraising & donations alone to keep the doors of St Roccos open. Due to Covid 19 they are set to lose c£1million in 2020, putting a strain on their resources & in turn the care they can provide to patients & their loved ones.
Sooooo how can I help I thought? (during lockdown) well here goes..
Starting on Monday next week (27th April) & finishing on Friday (1st May) I will be climbing to the Summit of Everest (on my staircase)
58,070 stairs to be precise! (I have 12 stairs on my stairs so will need to climb up them 4840 times (not including going back down after every flight) .. in the hope to raise just a little bit of money along to way & help in anyway I can. (& hopefully get a tighter tush!)
If you can spare every a £1 or 2, every single penny really does make a difference. :) Hope you are all keeping safe & well..
S xx
