Breast Cancer Care - Ben Nevis Challenge 2010 · 1 October 2010 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This charity is very close to my heart having lost friends and family to this horrible disease and watched other close friend and family fight it, with strength and determination. It has made me realise you never know what is around the corner and life is very precious!!!! I have decided to climb Ben Nevis to raise money for Cancer Research and to honour and support a friend and work colleague Jane, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in October last year. Jane is still undergoing Chemotherapy and is true inspiration to us all, showing courage, strength and determination and constantly laughing and smiling throughout this terrible disease. Jane is also taking part in this event along with friends, work colleagues and family. I am also doing this in memory of another friend who sadly lost their battle nearly 2 years ago.
One mountain, one walk, one reason!!!!
Ben Nevis is the highest mountain in Britain, majestically rising 1,344 metres (4,406 feet) amidst the hills and Monroes of the Scottish Highlands. Our route up and down Ben Nevis totals a little over nine miles, but because of the sometimes rocky and uneven terrain, we are on the mountain for the majority of the day.
