Story
I've always said I'd like to do something special to raise money for Beth's Inspiration and in celebration of Beth's 30th birthday! And I've been fortunate enough to get a place in the 2019 London Marathon ballot, which must be a sign!
In November 2013 I received the heartbreaking news that my friend Beth had tragically passed away to Hodgkin Lymphoma, she was only 24. She was positive throughout her treatment, such a caring happy soul! She never asked why me? Never complained, just got on with it. She was an inspiration ( hence the name!).
Losing a friend so young is probably one of the hardest things I've ever had to do, I still can't believe it all. I even carry around pieces of the bright pink feather bower I wore to her funeral to keep me safe and know she's around. She is missed everyday.
Since her passing, her amazing Mumma, Sue, set up a charity in her memory - Beth's Inspiration. The charity raises money to help young people with cancer and the support they may need, both practical and financial.
Thank you for taking the time to read about Beth, please do visit her website to read a little more about her and look at some photos of our gorgeous girl! I hope you can spare a few pennies ( or pounds) to help me reach my personal target..
