We help children & adults born with TOF/OA to ease living with this rare condition

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

A student I teach Chloe has a very young brother born with TOFS. Jayden was born on 08.11.2011 at 35 weeks weighing 4lb 4oz. Jayden was born with Tracheo Oesophageal Fistula (TOF/OA). This means Jayden has a pouch in his oesophagus (foodpipe) and his stomach was attached to his trachea (windpipe). Life-saving surgery was needed that day and since then the family have experienced a rollercoaster ride, not knowing if Jayden would survive, what life would be like and the daily challenges of looking after a baby with TOFS. They have spent a LOT of time at Birmingham Children’s Hospital and I know life has been turned upside down for this family. Jayden is now one and doing well but faces huge health challenges and takes 80+ medicenes a week. Please, Please help me to raise money for the TOFs little known charity who have been an invaluable support for Jayden and his family as well as other families whose children have TOFS.

TOFS offers support to people born with Tracheo-Oesophageal Fistula (TOF) and/or Oesophageal Atresia (OA). These are rare congenital malformaltions of the gullet and windpipe. Immediate neonatal surgery is a treatment, not a complete cure. We are UK-based and receive no public-sector support at all.
