Story

⭐️💫EMILY IRIS BAXTER💫⭐️

#100daystepchallenge

Our beautiful baby girl was born sleeping on 30th June at 5:51am weighing 4lbs14oz. From the day we left the hospital after having Emily we knew we wanted to raise money to give back in memory of Emily.

Leaving the hospital without Emily was the hardest thing we will ever do. On the days leading up to Emily’s birth the NHS staff helped us navigate some of the most challenging decisions we ever will face with nothing but care and compassion. During our stay in the bereavement suite we created keepsakes and memories we will cherish forever more. This couldn’t have been possible without the support of SANDS. Not only does this charity provide incredible support for bereaved families. It also supports the NHS staff and funds vital research to reduce the rate of stillbirth and neonatal death.

So on the day that Emily should have joined our family (we had a planned c section booked for 15/8/22) we are starting our fundraising effort in her honour! Martyn and I are going to commit to doing 10,000 steps every day for 100 days!

We couldn’t have managed the last few months without the support of this charity and we want to help ensure that no family would ever have to go without this support.
