Story
Hi everyone,
Thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page.
As most of you know, I have ran occasionally to keep fit by taking part in park runs, and to recover from jet lag. During the lockdown period, I have increased my running to clear my head with everything going on around us - even setting up a Sanders running club! However, I had never dreamt of running 13.1 miles.
I've watched races there, I've driven there and now I am running a half marathon at Silverstone circuit on 10th October 2021 for Alzheimer's Research UK in memory of my nan, Emily Knight.
As the grandson of a caring woman who suffered with dementia, I have seen first-hand the impact that this awful disease has, not only on those suffering, but also their families.
By taking part in Run Silverstone 2021, I aim to raise as much money as possible for Alzheimer's Research UK. This charity is very close to my heart and by raising as much money as I can for this charity, the sponsors and myself will be contributing to a future where this world can one day be dementia-free.
Thank you for your support, I hope to do you all proud.
Simon Tennant.
