Story
Pauline and Janet are walking the St Peter's Way pilgrimage route this summer in support of CAFOD's 'Summer of Hope' Coronavirus appeal.
Both are keen walkers and have decided to walk the distance of this pilgrimage route from Greensted in Chipping Ongar to St Peter's Chapel in Bradwell-on-Sea.
The route is around 45 miles and they plan to cover the distance by walking different parts of the route up until the end of September.
We will be tracking Pauline and Janet as they progress and will post updates along the way.
On the way they they will pass through the lovely Essex countryside and encounter some interesting features including:
- Oldest wooden church in the world
- Nature-rich River Roding valley
- Bird-filled Hanningfield Reservoir
- Mundon’s Petrified Oaks
- St Peter’s on the Wall, Bradwell
Please do show your support by sponsoring them to walk this pilgrimage route

Our ongoing work to provide clean water, hand washing facilities and training to communities in need will be critical.
