Story

On Saturday June 25th, the St Neots Crazy Skaters will attempt a charity skating challenge supporting the children of Ukraine. Over 4 million children have now been displaced from their homes. Every penny raised will help give them the much-needed necessities during these challenging times. As a club we feel that supporting Unicef and their efforts to make a change around the world is so important especially in Ukraine right now.

Our sponsored skate session will take part at the One Leisure St Neots Centre during our normal session time . For a 1hr period between 4.15 - 5.15pm we will attempt to skate as many laps of the sports hall as we can. At the end of the session, the laps that everyone achieves will be accumulated and represented into miles. Each lap to be classed as achieving 1 mile. Our goal is to turn 1,660 laps into 1,660 miles. The same distance it is from St Neots to Ukraine.

All of our skaters have different levels of ability. Each individual will be able to choose their own challenge. They are as follows:
30 lap challenge ( average of 2 minutes per lap)
60 lap challenge ( average of 1 minute per lap)
120 lap challenge. ( average of 30 seconds per lap)

After every 5 laps our skaters will have to register their achievement at our check point.

Sponsor forms will be available during the skating sessions leading up to the week before the event on 25th June.
