Story
Our charming 14th century thatched church in the small hamlet of Irstead, next to the River Ant on the Norfolk Broads, survives almost exactly as it was on its completion.
Regular services are held here, the church is always decorated at festival times and an annual exhibition is held during Norfolk Open Churches Week in August relating to the church and its history.
St Michael's is open daily for people to enjoy the peace and tranquility but our 700 year old church inevitably needs care and repairs. Any donation you feel able to give therefore will help the small congregation to maintain it for a good few hundred years to come. Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
